I have completed: Sounds-Write program, Introduction to PODD training, Hanen ‘More Than Words’, Neurodiverse Affirming Practice workshop presented by Adina Levy, Pamela Snow literacy instruction conference.
My areas of interest are: AAC, social communication, early language, motor speech.
I really enjoy the incredible diversity of the field, there are so many different areas of practice that speech pathologists work in. I especially enjoy supporting individuals with complex communication needs to find their voice and express themselves. Helping clients to connect with their family and friends, engage in their communities, and access learning opportunities is truly fulfilling and makes a real difference in their lives. I have enjoyed working in private practice since graduating from university, which allows me to build good relationships with my clients and their families and provide continuity of care as we work towards achieving the client’s communication goals.
I love taking my 2 dogs for a walk or to the beach, traveling overseas, and hosting dinner and board game nights with my husband and our friends. I am also learning to sew and can make a few simple things including scrunchies, pet bandanas, bags and skirts.
I studied at James Cook University.
